High School Girls Basketball Team Receives a Technical for Pink Uniforms

The Burke High Bulldogs received a technical at the start of the 2nd half because their uniform was not the mostly white home team uniform they were suppose to wear and the team never let anyone know they would be wearing something different. The thing about this whole story is that the refs did not say anything until the opposing team's coach brought it up.
The Bulldogs wore the pink uniforms to raise money for Make-A-Wish, they were doing it for charity. Is it right they were penalized? Yes they should have made sure they let others know, but should they have received a technical? Not sure. Read the whole story and let me know what you think.

Cold/Flu What is the Polite Thing to Do?

If you are not feeling well because we all know "it's going around" then stay home. That is what msnbc.com is saying in their article about flu faux pas and the etiquette of being sick. Also remember what you were taught when we were kids and what we teach our own ids - cover your mouth when you cough and sneeze. Pretty basic stuff, but sometimes those people we work with need a "friendly" reminder. Read the whole article by clicking here.

Unbelievable

A 10-year Mexican girl gave birth to a 31 week old baby boy. This is so sad in many ways. As a mother of a 10 year girl I could never imagine this happening, no 10 year old girl is ready nor should be ready to be a mother.

Lady A Making "SNL" Debut Saturday

Lady A's Dave Haywood says he looking forward to performing on SNL because he considered the shoe "the litmus test of who made it." Dave remembers that as a kid he would stay up late to watch the show. He recalls seeing the bands Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Smashing Pumpkins on SNL. He was a big fan of the late Chris Farley as well, he really liked his character Matt Foley, the motivational speaker who cautioned his listeners that if they didn't change their ways they could end up "living in a van down by the river."
"Mike & Molly" star Melissa McCarthy will host Saturday Night Live.

Happy Father's Day!

Pants on the Ground

"Pants on the ground, walking 'round like a fool with your pants on the ground." This held true for a University of New Mexico football player, Deshon Marman, who was arrested for not pulling up his sagging pants. He was asked by the flight attendants from U.S. Airways to pull his pants up which were down around his knees, exposing his underwear and he refused, so police boarded the plane and cuffed him before taking him off.
I really don't need or care to see random guys underwear, so really why should it be so hard to do what you were asked and pull up your pants?
